It is with a very heavy heart that we have to say a sad farewell to one of the best all-round cricketers that has graced the Gloucestershire Seniors section. Phil Thorn was not only one of the best known and gifted cricketers in the County, he was also one the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, which has been highlighted by the number of recent tributes in the media.

The annual Seniors annual dinner and awards evening will be on Friday 8th November at the County Ground, Bristol. Cost will be £35 per head. Please see WhatsApp detail for payment and menu detail.

Another date for your diaries, is the Seniors AGM which will be on Tuesday 14th January 2025 @ Stroud Cricket Club. AGM detail will be circulated nearer the time.

Celia's Celebration of Life !
A celebration of Celia's life will be held at her local church St James on Upton Street, Gloucester on Friday 4th October 2024 at 4pm.
Not a religious ceremony but a celebration of her love for life. All friends and family, old and new, are very welcome to come share in memories, songs and stories.
Please wear something pretty and bright to honour her zest for life and positive attitude in all she did.
Parking is available at the Friendship Cafe Chequers Bridge Centre on Painswick Road GL4 6PR, a 5-10 minute walk away, where some light refreshments and nibbles will be served afterwards.
No flowers are necessary, but instead there will be a collection for two local charities close to Phil & Celia's heart. 'Gloucester Feed The Hungry CIC' and 'The Music Works' which make a huge difference in Gloucester for many people, and reflect Celia's generosity of spirit and personal interests.
